传说大海上曾出现过10层楼高的巨浪,这并非空穴来风。然而,究竟是什么引起了这种骇人的海上景象,仍旧是个谜。1975年11月10日,美国货轮埃德蒙德·费兹杰罗号在暴风中沉入美国和加拿大之间的苏必利尔湖区域。这艘货轮可不是什么小玩意,船身有220米长,宽度达到22米,绝对算得上是个庞然大物了。但是看起来坚固安全的货轮并没有经受住考验。灾难发生的时候,该货轮还来不及发出求救信号就失去了求生的机会,船上22名船员全部遇难,他们的遗体至今仍未被发现。
Legend has it that there have been 10 waves in the sea waves, this is not groundless. However, it is still a mystery to what caused such an appalling sea scene. On November 10, 1975, the U.S. freighter Edmund Fitzgerald sunk into the Lake Superior area between the United States and Canada in a storm. This ship is not what gadgets, the hull has 220 meters long, width of 22 meters, definitely be regarded as a monster. But the seemingly solid and secure freighter did not stand the test. At the time of the disaster, the cargo ship lost the chance of survival after it was too late to issue a distress signal. All 22 crew members on board were killed and their bodies still undetected.
