Designed by Japanese architect Yukio Hashimoto, F-House is a two-storey residence located in Kyoto’s Gion district, famous for its geisha culture. Its minimalist design incorporates traditional Japanese origami, a light twist on the corners and door leaves, giving the building its unique spirituality. The building is a minimalist box shape with a clean white facade. The use of folding details changed the hermeticity and heaviness of the building itself.
