With the formal signing of the Framework Agreement on Economic Cooperation across the Taiwan Straits (ECFA), the cross-Strait economic and trade exchanges have been markedly active and personnel exchanges have also increased significantly. Recently, in order to further facilitate the passenger exchanges between the two sides of the Strait, China Eastern Airlines and Taiwan’s high-speed railways have carried out air-cargo intermodal transport cooperation and launched the “Cross-Strait Airport Convenience Transportation” product.
