器乐教学在音乐教育中具有重要地位,孩子们对乐器的喜爱与生俱来,参与器乐演奏活动极大地丰富了他们的音乐生活。因此,我国在1993年的教学大纲中正式将器乐教学纳入中小学音乐教学领域,完全适宜于少年儿童的音乐教育规律。器乐教学不但能够激发学生学习音乐的兴趣,调动学习音乐的积极性,培养学生的音乐能力,而且对嗓音条件一般、处于变声期、听觉有缺陷的学生,乐器演奏为他们提供了体验音乐、展示自我的广阔空间。器乐教学确实为孩子们开辟了一条感受、参与音乐的新航道。
