查尔斯·汉迪在《大象与跳蚤》《觉醒的年代》《饥饿的灵魂》《个人与组织的未来》等论著中,初步表达了有关企业社会责任的思想。企业社会责任就是企业在追求经济利益的同时,在一定的能力范围之内对组织成员和社会承担的相关责任和义务。企业社会责任体现了企业的价值使命和道义品质。企业社会责任问题也是当代中国管理实践中的重大问题,对于建设社会主义和谐社会和实现以人为本具有重要的意义。
Charles Huddy initially expressed his thoughts on corporate social responsibility in such essays as The Awakening of Elephants and Fleas, The Hunger Soul, The Future of Individuals and Organizations. Corporate social responsibility is the enterprise’s responsibility and obligation to the members of the organization and the society within a certain range of capabilities while pursuing economic benefits. Corporate social responsibility reflects the value mission of enterprises and moral quality. The issue of corporate social responsibility is also a major issue in the management practice of contemporary China. It is of great significance to the construction of a harmonious socialist society and the realization of people-oriented.
