“有林才有胶”。胶园防护林除减轻台风和常风对胶树的为害外,还能调节胶园的温度和湿度,为橡胶的生长创造良好的条件,使橡胶高产稳产。目前胶园防护林树种主要有桉类,木麻黄、台湾相思和油茶。这些树种在我国橡胶生产上起了重要的作用。随着橡胶生产的发展,这些树种已远不能满足生产和人民生活的需要。近年来农垦部门不断引进新的树种,如母生、火力楠、白木香等。在此基础上,我们又陆续引进了几十个树种,通过试种,有的树种生长较好,酸枣就是其中之一。酸枣Choerospondias axillaris (Ruxb)Burtt.et Hill又名五眼果,山枣,南酸枣。为漆树科酸枣属落叶大乔木,树高可达20—40米,胸径可达80—100厘米。树干通直,生长迅速,抗风力强,经济价值较高。
