National Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Beijing from July 6 to July 7, 2012. Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the Central Military Commission and chairman of the Central Military Commission made an important speech at the meeting. He emphasized that the government should vigorously implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and the strategy of building a strong nation by employing qualified personnel. The guidelines for independent innovation, key leaps and bounds, support and development and the future should be fully implemented.
