目前认为严重感染时，炎症介质过度释放引起对组织细胞的自身损害是导致多器官功能衰竭（MOF）的根本原因。血浆交换非特异清除血浆中的炎症物质，可能是严重感染的有效治疗手段之一。本文报道3例严重感染合并MOF患者，经积极治疗无效，紧急采用血浆交换，结果病情均明显好转。 At present it is thought that at the time of severe infection, the over-release of inflammatory mediators causes their own damage to the tissue cells, which is the root cause of multiple organ failure (MOF).
