糖尿病是一种常见的内分泌代谢疾病,由血糖增高引起的全身急、慢性并发症累及多个器官,已成为致残率、病死率仅次于肿瘤和心血管病的第三大疾病。牙周炎是指发生在牙龈、牙周韧带、牙骨质和牙槽骨部位的慢性炎症。大量研究表明,糖尿病与牙周病相互影响,互为因果,牙周病已经成为糖尿病的第六大并发症。现就牙周病与糖尿病的双向关系及其机制研究进行综述。
Diabetes mellitus is a common endocrine and metabolic disease. It involves multiple organs with acute and chronic systemic complications caused by hyperglycemia. It has become the third largest disease with morbidity and mortality after cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation that occurs in the gums, periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone. Numerous studies show that diabetes and periodontal disease mutual influence each other cause and effect, periodontal disease has become the sixth largest complication of diabetes. Now on the periodontal disease and diabetes two-way relationship and its mechanism of research.
