2003年,大连市金州区政府整合教育资源,金州区职业教育中心应运而生,学校由“金州区职业教育中心、金州区中等职业技术专业学校、辽宁省农业广播电视学校金州分校”三部分组成,是一所集中专教育、社区教育、农村成人教育、成人大专学历教育、各类社会培训于一体的综合性中等职业技术专业学校。2012年,学校乘借国家教育发展的东风,成功迈进了国家中等职业教育改革发展示范学校建设计划行列。近年来,学校确立了“先成人,后成才,既成人,又成才”的育人目标,毕业生就业率始终保持在98%以上,每年输送专业技能人才达600余人,很多人成为所在单位的骨干力量。
