青海大通回族土族自治县的老爷山和新加坡牛车水唐人街在汉民族(华人)主导或参与的多民族、多宗教融合中有许多相似之处,两地都是在相当狭小的地理空间内,实现了包括佛教、道教、伊斯兰教在内的多民族多宗教和谐共生。这种和谐共生可以用“管理——融合”象限模型来解释,并且老爷山、牛车水的经验和做法在多民族地区也有推广价值。大通地区独特的民族宗教和谐现象,也为当地开发旅游观光,打造魅力河湟文化提供了丰富的资源。
