法律援助是一项扶贫助弱,保障社会弱势群体合法权益的公益事业,旨在通过法律手段救助社会弱势群体,使公民享有平等的法律保护权,维护自身的合法权益。未成年人作为中国未来发展的希望,其合法权益的保护倍受各方关注,温家宝总理在第十届全国人大第三次会议上的政府工作报告中明确提出,建设和谐社会,要做好法律服务和法律援助工作,依法保障妇女、未成年人和残疾人的合法权益。
Legal aid is a public welfare undertaking helping the weak and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of disadvantaged groups in society. It aims to help disadvantaged groups in society through legal means so that citizens enjoy equal rights of legal protection and safeguard their own legitimate rights and interests. As a hope for the future development of China, the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of minors has drawn much attention from all parties.
