曹冲称象在中国是一个闻名遐迩的历史故事。从数学角度分析,其过程不但蕴含着重要的数学思维方法,而且在素质教育方面也予人以深刻启示。曹冲称象对素质教育最大的启示是:数学教学要教会学生打破思维定势,拓展发散思维,培养学生敢想、敢说、敢为,不迷信权威,能够独立思考、直抒已见的个性品质。
