南昌二中是一九四九年十月由青年、劍聲、心遠三個私立中學合併而成的。當時全校共有四十多名教師,其中黨員兩名,團員一名,民盟盟員三名。校長是參加革命時間較長的黨員幹部。教師中間有一部分人做教學工作時間較長,有一定的教學經驗和業務水平,但大部分教師業務水平較低。南昌二中成立初期,教師思想是比較複雜的,政治認識是模糊的,有的還存在著反動思想。他們對共產黨和人民政府的政策很不瞭解,抱著懷疑恐懼的心理,因而工作情緒不安定。同時,由於教師來自三個學校,他們之間還存在著宗派主義:以前是老朋友或是同一學校的,就互相隱瞞歷史和包庇缺點;有的還在背後召集會議,同事之間一團和氣,而對領導,當面是逢迎,背後卻三五一團地講怪話!同進步教師在一塊,不敢暴露思想,恐怕這樣會弄得自己「倒楣」等等。

At the same time, because teachers come from three schools, there is still sectarianism among them: in the past they were old friends or same schools, they concealed the shortcomings of history and harboring each other; some were still holding meetings behind to gather their colleagues, To the leadership, the face is welcome, but weird talk behind the scenes! With the progress of teachers together, afraid to reveal their thoughts, I am afraid this will make their own “unlucky” and so on.
