(a) Shanghai 17th Cotton Textile Factory is a large-scale enterprise with 150,000 spindles, 2,000 sets of cloth machines and nearly 10,000 employees. In 1989, the output value was nearly 300 million, and the output value of export products accounted for more than 80%, achieving profits and taxes. More than 54 million yuan was listed by the Ministry of Textile Industry as the largest taxpayer in the national cotton textile industry. Shangmian 17 Factory is one of the first batch of state-level enterprises. It has been awarded the National Advanced Enterprise in Economic Benefits of the Industrial and Commercial System and Advanced Enterprise in the National Enterprise Management for three consecutive times.
