王大任同志在“文革”被监禁期间,写下了5万余字的长信《长书远寄———追述战争年代》,寄给大学毕业后远在云南边陲下放劳动的长女。陶鲁笳同志曾说:“我有幸读了他在狱中写给儿女们的信,觉得他把自己的人生经验谆谆地告诫儿女们,不但对当代青年具有深刻的教育意义,而且对所有干部如何教育自己的子女、如何做人也具有深刻的启迪。”现将其中的一节摘编如下,以飨读者。
