莫言小说《酒国》是一部关于酒的小说,酒作为突出的文化符号,多次被当作喻体刻画人物的形象品性,而文中频频关于酒的隐喻具有丰富的想象和刺激感官的艺术魅力。本文运用认知语言学的隐喻理论,考察翻译家葛浩文对《酒国》中隐喻的翻译策略,译者顺应隐喻的认知思维方式,对小说的隐喻大多采取直译,既保留原作的艺术风格,又体现了英译小说隐喻的连贯性。
