INTRODUCTION Apart from the environmental dynamic loads and the use loads of wharfs and water currents, the quay buildings located in the strong earthquake area are subject to the possibility of being subjected to strong earthquake loads. Due to the foundation conditions in the coastal areas of China and the ports of the Yangtze River, many of them use pile foundation support.
