新批评是英、美文学理论界乃至整个西方理论界中的一个重要流派,它的一些基本论点和方法已在西方文坛,尤其是美国文学批评和文学教学方法中留下了无可消除的印记。新批评与形式主义有着千丝万缕的联系,它既是一种形式主义研究,同时又是一种文化价值研究,具有宽广的文化视野,宗教关怀和社会功能。
The new criticism is an important genre in English and American literary theory circles and even the entire western theoretical circle. Some of its basic arguments and methods have left an indelible mark in the Western literary world, especially in American literary criticism and literature teaching methods . The new criticism is inextricably linked with formalism. It is both a formalistic study and a study of cultural values. It has a broad cultural horizon, religious concerns and social functions.
