扒吉古教堂就在怒江岸边的一块平缓的山坡地上。这天下午,看不到太阳,却有稀薄的阳光。三四点钟的光景,太阳就走到了高黎贡山的另一面去了。那边是缅甸。高黎贡山在一片蓝色中变得幽深。而在这并不宽阔的江滩上,田埂上出现了穿着鲜艳服装的人,人数最多的是妇女,也有男人、小孩。他们走在种着水稻、草莓、青菜的土地上,田埂让他们自然地排成了一队,他们放开膀子走着,走得急急忙忙,像赴一个重要的约会。这是每周都要上演的一幕。傈僳人丢开农活和家务,穿上干净的民族服装,打理好一种心情,就走出家门,去与虚空里的神灵对话。

This is a scene to be staged every week. When people abandon farm work and housework, wear clean national costumes and take good care of their emotions, they go out of their homes and talk to the gods in the void.
