The Hong Kong Space Museum started construction in February 1977 and was completed in September 1980. It is located on the former site of Tsimshatsui Railway Station, facing the sea port in the south, and is opposite to the bustling Central District of Hong Kong Island. Covers an area of 0.8 hectares and costs 60 million Hong Kong dollars. The Space Museum has a small body, but the location is open and stretched, and the architectural design is novel and smooth. Museum points east and west wings. The East Tower is egg-shaped and is the core part of the museum. The Sky Room and office space are upstairs. The ground floor is the exhibition hall and the production room. The west wing is polygonal, with a solar science exhibition hall and snack bar on the floor, and a lecture hall and a bookstore on the ground floor. The two wings of the east and west are two differently shaped entities. In the middle is a transparent connection between large glass walls and skylights. It is a horizontal traffic and vertical traffic hub. In the shape of the body, it is a transition between egg and polygon. The shape of the egg on the east wing gives people a kind of life.
