His works are famous for their strong practical significance and rich philosophical connotations. However, he himself has long been exposed by the regime of oppression and unfair treatment because of exposing the dark side of society. This article attempts to explore the grim reality of the development of Canadian literature in the post-colonial context from this perspective.
