The codling moth [Laspeyresia pomonella (L.)] is a quarantine pest of the world. Commissioned by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture (CAB) has repeatedly declared the distribution of this insect in the eastern part of the country (especially along the coast of Bohai Bay) , Pears exports; the same time, some of the countries have the distribution of insects also request China to relax the import of apple quarantine provisions constitute the serious threat to China’s apple and pear production. In order to find out the distribution of this pest in our country, on the basis of monitoring and investigation in 1991, the author carried out repeated monitoring surveys in 1992, 1993, 1993 in Liao, Lu, Ji, Jing and Yu provinces and cities. In the past three years, all the base points were monitored for the entomological lure during April-October. The monitoring area totaled 648.2 ha, representing different types of orchards in different regions. In October-October, orchards were surveyed and dissected for a total of 44 A total of 176 orchards in 77 counties (districts) were surveyed, with a total survey area of 5,058.9 ha, and a total of 1978,419 fruits of 15,163 fruit trees were inspected. As a result, the insects were not found in these areas for three consecutive years. Combined with the CAB map based on the verification of the literature, it was found that it incorrectly referenced the data. Therefore, this article demonstrates the distribution of codling moth in the eastern part of China, and the CAB map should be corrected.
