Over the years, we have made great efforts in the teaching of Chinese revolutionary history and made some achievements. However, there is still a problem of low learning enthusiasm among students, especially among liberal arts students. One of the important reasons for this phenomenon is that the teaching content system of the Chinese revolutionary history is seriously repeated with the history lesson in the middle school and it is difficult to arouse students’ interest in learning. According to our experience, if we want to solve this problem, we should deal with it in the following aspects The differences and connections between the Chinese revolutionary history and the middle school history class: First, the history class in the middle school belongs to the universal type, while the class course in the history of the Chinese revolution should belong to the upgrading type. Now some of the characteristics of the teaching of the Chinese revolution history class are: both have similar popularity with the history of high school teaching content, but also has different from the history of secondary education to improve the type of teaching objectives and requirements. This is quite suitable for science and engineering undergraduates who have not studied modern Chinese history in high school. For the undergraduates who have studied Chinese modern history systematically, they will inevitably lead to duplication of teaching content. So for liberal arts students, not only should there be enhanced teaching purposes, but also should have enhanced teaching content, that should not be repeated to explain the historical process, but should they have already learned about China
