Objective To understand the damage caused by welding fume to workers’ pulmonary ventilation and provide a scientific basis for the prevention and management of electrician pneumoconiosis. Methods A total of 185 welding workers in a dust remover factory who received occupational health care were tested for pulmonary ventilation and set as the observation group. Meanwhile, 136 non-contact dust workers were selected as the control group for comparative analysis. Results The indexes of pulmonary function in observation group decreased, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions The lung ventilation function of electricians exposed to welding is damaged to a certain extent. With the increase of the service life of dust, the damage degree of pulmonary function presents a declining trend, especially the performance of dust exposure is more prominent for more than 10 years. Therefore, comprehensive protection and protection of the welding Workers’ health.
