读了张志公同志给本刊的一封信,相信每一个同志都会非常感动.语文战线上的老战士在病床上还如此关怀着我们的事业,这是对我们每个语文教育工作者的鞭策.张志公同志在信中所提出的问题,和本刊这期所转载的吕叔湘同志的文章,精神是一致的,即语文教学必须改革!请大家想一想,全国人民都在为实现四个现代化而争分夺秒,我们的学生用了几乎占总学时三分之一的时间来学语文,却收效不大,这个情况难
After reading a letter given by Comrade Zhang Zhigong to the journal, I believe that every comrade will be very touched. The old soldiers on the language front are still so concerned about our cause in the hospital bed. This is a spur to every Chinese language educator. The questions raised by Comrade Zhang Zhigong in his letter are in line with the spirit of the articles published by Comrade Lu Shuxiang in this issue of the journal.
