20世纪60年代,美国侵越战争爆发后,我国派遣的特别新闻工作队即将开赴越南。1964年10月19日下午,陈毅副总理兼外交部长在中南海接见工作队成员时,严格指示大家要勇于完成任务,并严肃嘱咐每人的手枪里要为自己留下最后一颗子弹,在紧急情况下,宁可牺牲自己,不能给越方造成困难。1964年10月25日,中国特别新闻工作队秘密离开北京,11月抵达越南河内,随即被封闭保护起来,进行南越战况了解,高强度军事与体能训练。其问胡志明主席接见了工作队,他亲切地说:“同志们要准备多吃苦!”“如果能走到西贡边,可以说是首创”。这真是一次“小长征”。工作队成员都换了行军的衣着,赤脚穿上轮胎做的抗战鞋、南方战士的卡其布军服或黑色平民布衣,背着沉甸甸的军
In the 1960s, after the outbreak of the U.S. invasion of aggression, the special information task force dispatched by China was about to depart for Vietnam. On the afternoon of October 19, 1964, Vice Premier Chen Yi and Foreign Minister met with members of the Task Force in Zhongnanhai and strictly instructed everyone to have the courage to fulfill their task.
