In junior high school Chinese textbooks, some historical texts were selected. These texts have a certain distance from students’ time and space of life. Most of these texts are expressed in the form of classical Chinese. This gives students more difficulties in reading and understanding. In teaching these texts, teachers should strive to narrow the distance between students and historical texts so that students can go deep into the text and feel the meaning of historical texts. In this process, teachers can appropriately supplement students with reading materials to make students more immersive; they can guide students in real life.
