在工程设计分工中,皮带通廊通常是由工业建筑专业设计,其支墩设计也由该专业完成。但当皮带通廊需要跨河时,工业建筑专业设计经验不足,该专业相关规范规定不具体,由该专业完成设计任务操作性不强。而桥梁专业在跨河工程有自己天然的优势。以东北某钢铁企业跨河皮带通廊支墩设计为例,将桥墩技术应用于跨河皮带通廊支墩设计,较好地解决了此类工程设计的难题。
