On September 26, 2016, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong conducted a four-day state visit to Japan in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Singapore-Japan bilateral relations. During this period, Singapore and Japan leaders discussed a new cooperation agenda, and government agencies and business representatives also reached three agreements during the visit, including investment agreements, infrastructure agreements and research cooperation agreements.
