2011年,淮安市博物馆为了协助淮安市文物局对惠济祠遗址进行文物保护规划项目,两次对遗址进行了勘探。之后为了配合大运河的申遗工作,在2013年5月至6月间,对遗址部分区域进行了发掘,揭示出的遗迹主要有5处建筑基址、5条甬路、2处院落和御碑基础等,时代为清代乾隆时期。发掘出土和采集的遗物主要有琉璃构件、其他构件、柱础石及抱鼓石等建筑构件以及陶瓷器与钱币等,共计224件。
In 2011, Huai’an City Museum to assist Huai’an City Cultural Relics Bureau on the site of Huiji temple heritage conservation planning project, twice on the site exploration. After that, in order to cooperate with the application of the Grand Canal for the inscription, from May to June 2013, part of the site was excavated, revealing the relics mainly include 5 building sites, 5 Yong Roads, 2 courtyards and Yu Monument foundation, the era of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. Excavations unearthed and collected relics are mainly glass components, other components, pedestal stone and drum rock and other building components and ceramics and coins, a total of 224.
