Objective To assess the current situation of military pilots’ work stress and to explore their impact on sub-health so as to provide basis for making targeted interventions. Methods The stress and sub-health status of 500 military pilots were evaluated using the stress scale of work and the sub-health status assessment scale. Results The average age of 500 military pilots was (31 ± 6.8) years old, 48.4% of whom were at high work stress. Among them, the interpersonal stress was the most serious, with 68.6% of high stress. The interpersonal stress and physics of pilots at different ages (P <0.01). Among them, the scores of interpersonal stress in the age group of 30-39 years were the highest (71.75 ± 10.48), while those in the age group of 40-45 years were the highest (55.73 ± 14.29); bachelor’s degree or above pilots interpersonal stress score (68.47 ± 10.30) points and work interest stress score (145.02 ± 24.46) points were higher than those with tertiary education (P <0.05); different marital status pilot interpersonal (F = 3.130, P = 0.045). Among them, the highest score of interpersonal stress was reached (69.01 ± 10.39) in married group, and there was a positive correlation between working stress intensity and subhealth status (P <0.01). Conclusion Work stress is an important risk factor that affects the sub-health of pilots. Properly relieving work stress is an important measure to prevent the sub-health status of pilots.
