1928年,潘玉良从巴黎学成归来,受校长刘海粟之邀,到上海美术专科学校任教,成为中国近代史上第一位西洋画女教师。至此,这个性格坚毅的女子,终于完成了从妓女到知名画师的蜕变。但是,事业上的功成名就,并没有改变潘玉良在家庭中卑贱的小妾地位。潘赞化的大夫人仍然不接纳她,而且多次指戳她入过青楼的痛处。最终,她不堪其辱,痛别潘赞化,再次奔赴法国。
In 1928, Pan Yuliang returned from Paris and was invited by the principal Liu Haisu to teach at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, becoming the first western painting female teacher in modern Chinese history.
