城市的出现是社会进步的产物。城市的发展是社会发展的标志。由农耕文明向现代都市文明的转化是中国实现现代化的必然趋势。深圳在中国大地上的崛起,已经生动地说明了现代都市对中国前行的意义,而深圳对文化建设的重视,又为现代都市在物质文明发展的同时如何提升精神文明作出了成功的回答。新一届双年展以“都市文墨”为主题,以都市变革为内容,无疑是促动整个中国画在当代推陈出新的举措,而且这种新的艺术视点的聚焦,对于久远以来以农耕文明为母土的中国画如何适应当代和未来的社会具有战略转移的意义。组委会委托我就此前古今城市题材的中国画的状况提供些背景资料,因此便有了百幅图像和这篇讲稿。
The emergence of cities is a product of social progress. The development of cities is a symbol of social development. The transformation from farming civilization to modern urban civilization is an inevitable trend of China’s modernization. The rise of Shenzhen on the land of China has vividly illustrated the significance of modern cities to China’s advancement. Shenzhen’s emphasis on cultural construction has also provided a successful answer to the modern city’s spiritual civilization as it develops its material civilization. With the theme of “Metropolitan Text and Ink”, the new Biennale is undoubtedly an initiative to promote the entire Chinese painting in the contemporary era with the theme of urban reform. Moreover, the focus of this new artistic viewpoint is to motivate the farmer who has cultivated civilization for a long time How traditional Chinese painting adapts to the present and future society has the meaning of strategic shift. The organizing committee commissioned me to provide some background information on the state of Chinese painting of ancient and modern urban themes, so there are 100 images and this speech.
