为进一步明确小青龙汤合麻杏石甘汤的镇咳作用及其机制,采用化学及机械刺激诱发咳嗽,对正常及患支气管炎的豚鼠及鹌鹑进行试验,探讨其中枢性镇咳作用及对产生咳嗽的机制即纤毛输送功能、呼吸道分泌及气管平滑肌收缩等方面的影响。小青龙汤合麻杏石甘汤在体内试验时用提取物粉末,蒸馏水配成100mg/ml的混悬液,口服给药。体外试验时,豚鼠口服给药3小时后采血,分离血清成分为供试液。
