Extract the concentrate with calcium cyanide and lime to dissolve the copper sulfide in the complex cyanide. The leachate is separated and desulfurized to precipitate the copper as a cuprous cyanide cupant which is insoluble in acid. The precipitate is isolated and reduced with hot hydrogen.
