由于隧道防水排水处理不当,造成衬砌病害,綫路状态不良(鋼軌附件銹蝕,枕木腐朽,綫路翻浆冒泥),照明設备損坏等的严重現象,目前已引起了鈇路設計、施工和运营部門的普遍注意。山东北地区的情况着,隧道衬砌病害較普遍的类型有两种: (1)衬砌渗漏及冻害,多見于排水設备不良的隧道。由于聚集于衬砌四周的地下水未能及时順利排除,越集越多,加大了水压,造成衬砌潮湿、漫渗、滴漏等病害。冬季滴水,在隧顶冻成冰柱,在隧底結水冰堆,冰柱、冰堆逐漸变大,就侵入了机车車輛限界,影响运行安全。衬砌背后冰冻,对衬砌就产生一种冻涨力,冻融循环作用,使衬砌結构加速損坏。 (2)衬砌剝蝕:大多发生在日伪时修建的隧道。因为净空高度低(仅5.2~5.4m),机車水汽煤烟直接噴击拱頂,因而在物理破坏化学侵蝕作用下,促使拱頂部份衬砌剝蝕。在衬砌渗漏处地下水对混凝土的溶蝕,使混凝土內游离石灰溶解析出,逐漸使結构物变得多孔
