The acid alcohol extracts of Judy Cordyline fruticosa, Xanthi-um sibiricum and Euphorbi helioscopia were dissolved in an aqueous alkali solution and extracted and separated with n-butanol to obtain anti-tumor substances. The main components included nitro compounds and Alkaloids. The use of hot water to extract residues of lower alcohol (lower than butanol) extracts from buckwheat Djanthus suberbus also yields another antitumor substance, mainly phenolic compounds and terpenoids. The substances obtained from these plants show strong anti-tumor activity and can be used as anti-cancer agents, alone or in combination with other substances.
