自古以来,“男尊女卑”的思想便广泛地存在于社会中。语言作为社会的一面镜子,语言中的性别歧视,尤其是对女性的歧视已是一个不争的事实。本文从英语的词语、词汇构词法以及英语谚语等方面论述了语言中的性别歧视现象。
Since ancient times, the idea of “male pride” has existed extensively in society. Language as a mirror of society, gender discrimination in language, especially discrimination against women is an indisputable fact. This article discusses the phenomenon of gender discrimination in language from the aspects of English words, word formation and English proverbs.
