We have prepared Era+-doped borotellurite glasses using conventional melting and quenching method.The absorption spectrum analysis is performed on the basis of Judd-Ofelt theory.The effects of B2O3 on the spectroscopic parameters such as intensity parameters,line strengths of electric-dipole transitions,and spontaneous emission probability are discussed.
