20世纪初我国图书馆学研究普遍存在着中国化的学术诉求。前辈学者们以中国古代图书馆学思想为学术资源,努力消解西方话语的中心地位。但由于只把中国化的诉求局限于“应用”领域,尤其是局限于分类编目等具体技术领域,从而导致中国化内涵在“理论”领域的缺失;同时由于传统的分类目录不能在文献检索的实用意义上与以DDC为代表的西方分类编目技术一争高下,最终致使建构“中国图书馆学”的学术理想只能以失败而告终。 At the beginning of 20th century, the academic demands of China were widespread in the research of library science in our country.
