当代社会发展模式迅速演变， 从单纯追求经济增长到坚持社会发展的持续性、共同性和公正性的原则， 昭示着人类社会发展观进入到一个渗入了更多人文价值参数的新层次。在价值理论上给我们许多启示： 需要与实践是双向互动的关系， 在社会性的实践活动中可以寻求多种需要的融合和平衡， 以实现人的全面发展； 人的价值与环境价值是内在一致的， 人类应确立起人与环境协调发展的可持续发展模式； 要缓和和最终解决凸现于当代社会的全球性危机， 需要逐步建立起世界整体价值观或全人类价值观。
