一战的爆发打破了欧洲的和平,也给包括艺术家在内的欧洲民众的心灵带来了一次深刻的震撼。20世纪英国宗教画家斯坦利·斯潘塞曾作为一名士兵亲历了这次战争。本文通过对他战后创作的桑德姆纪念礼拜堂壁画的解读,分析了画家宗教观的变化和艺术风格发展的新趋势,进而从中折射出战后的英国民众对于战争和宗教的思考。
The outbreak of World War I broke the peace in Europe and brought a profound shock to the hearts of European people, including artists. Twentieth Century British religious painter Stanley Spencer once witnessed the war as a soldier. Through the interpretation of his post-war Samdang Memorial Wall Mural, this article analyzes the change of the artist’s religious view and the new tendency of the development of the artistic style, and then reflects the post-war British people’s thinking on the war and religion.
