Under pot culture conditions, the effects of Pb, Hg and their interactions on reactive oxygen species metabolism in tobacco leaves were studied. The experimental results showed that with the increase of Pb and Cd concentrations, POD activity increased gradually, SOD began to rise and then decreased, and CAT activity decreased gradually. It not only induces the formation of reactive oxygen species but also affects the ability of active oxygen scavenging system to remove reactive oxygen species. As a result, there is an imbalance between the production and removal of reactive oxygen species, leading to disorder of physiological and biochemical processes and accelerating the process of leaf senescence . Pb, Hg on tobacco leaves antioxidant enzyme metabolism, there is a certain synergy between the two.
