E.M.Foster在50年代写过一部科幻小说,讲了这样一个故事:有一个整天呆在“六边形蜂巢般小房间”里的人(瓦什提Vashti),通过电脑和外面的世界联系,几乎不需要和人直接接触的实验。于是,有一天她不得不离开家去寻找远在南半球的儿子时,竟然感到了害怕,因为她离开了赖以生存的“封闭空间”,同时又不得不和其他人面对面地接触。50年后,网络的出现使人们怀疑,当初的寓言故事是否真的可能实现。在我看来,网络传播的意义除了改变传播形式之外,主要在于对传播者心理的影响:
