镇江给水所是宁常线上的主要中间给水站,每昼夜供机车用水600吨左右,取长江支流金山河为水源。一般情况下,总硬度在2.8~3.8毫克当量/升,碱度在2.3~2.8毫克当量/升之间,原有一套水力加速澄清池和快滤池净水设备,在1966年我局干线筹建炉外软水时,考虑到镇江站运输困难,在它上下行给水站又设有氢钠型软水设备,因此仅用单钠型离子交换进行水处理。使用以来,由于水源受市郊下水道的污染,在枯水季节,总硬度到4.0~6.0毫克当最/升,碱度到3.8~4.5毫克当量/升。原有软水设备因受能力限制只能清除部分硬度,无法降低碱度,出水质量不能满
Zhenjiang Water Supply Station is the main intermediate water supply station on the Ningchang Line. It supplies 600 tons of water for each locomotive every day and night, and takes Jinshan River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, as the water source. Under normal circumstances, the total hardness is 2.8-3.8 meq/l, and the alkalinity is between 2.3-2.8 meq/l. The original set of water-accelerating clarifier and fast-filter water purification equipment was built in 1966. In soft water outside the furnace, taking into account the difficulty of transportation at the Zhenjiang station, a sodium-hydrogen-type soft water device is provided at the upstream and downstream water supply stations, so only a single sodium ion exchange is used for water treatment. Since the use of water, due to the pollution of suburban sewers, the total hardness in the dry season is 4.0-6.0 mg/l and the alkalinity is 3.8-4.5 meq/l. The original soft water equipment can only remove part of the hardness due to capacity limitations and cannot reduce the alkalinity.
