When there are many devices in the network, frequent network transmission conflicts lead to slowdown, people often use switches to expand the network bandwidth. However, since the switch is a device at the data link layer, link layer broadcasts are forwarded by the switch to all ports, meaning that the switch can not improve the collision conditions caused by link layer broadcasts.
