世纪末,中央电视台在黄金时间推出了15集电视连续剧《波涛汹涌》。全剧以22年前人民海军800号潜艇探索“郑和水道”蒙难为主线,展露人民海军面向未来的胸襟和眼光,也寓意21世纪中国海军保卫祖国蓝色国土、维护国家海洋权益的神圣使命。事实上,人民海军的这场大海难也确实发生过,只是它不是在22年前,而是41年前的1959年12月1日。今天,本刊特别推出专稿,以缅怀在共和国海军发展初期蒙难的第一代海军潜艇兵。
