启蒙运动初期,英国文学以现实主义小说最为盛行。现实主义小说代表了资产阶级性质的文学创作,其文学创作者大多是启蒙资产家以及社会活动,他们所创作的现实主义小说,成为启蒙运动初期英国文学最典型的代表。其中丹尼尔·笛福的《鲁滨逊漂流记》的创作水平最高,成为此时英国文学的杰出代表。
In the early Enlightenment, British literature was most popular with realistic novels. Realistic novels represent literary creation of bourgeois nature. Most of their literary creators are enlightened assetists and social activities. The realistic novels they created become the most typical representative of British literature in the early Enlightenment. Among them, Daniel Defoe’s “Robinson Crusoe” has the highest creative level and became an outstanding representative of British literature at this time.
