近来有研究报告称澳大利亚蜂蜜中的有毒物质吡咯里西啶类生物碱含量较高,澳大利亚和新西兰食品标准局对此回应说,通常情况下食用相关蜂蜜不会导致健康风险,但孕妇和哺乳期妇女还是应当注意。学术刊物《食品添加剂和污染物》刊登的一项研究报告说,对59份澳大利亚蜂蜜样本进行了分析,发现其中41份样品中含有吡咯里西啶类生物碱。这种简称PA的物质如果被人体大量摄入,会损伤肝脏等器官,严重情况下可能造成肝癌等后果。
